We’ve been hard at work for the past couple of weeks on developing a web-based gadget for all of you who use iGoogle for your homepage. The gadget will show you new mail in your AOL , AIM , or My eAddress mailboxes. So, now you can find out about the new mail in your mailbox even while your surfing on Google.

Social Mail Gadget
A new AOL Social Mail Gadget for Vista users was introduced May 1st at Microsoft's MIX conference. The new gadget, developed by AOL using Microsoft Silverlight technology gives AOL users one-click access to email, IM, photos and video, as well as a window into the global mailbox.

Dojo and AOL

myAOL - Everything You Want and Nothing You Don't All in One Place
myAOL is a personalized home page that allows you to aggregate all of the things that are most important to you online. Consider it your personal dashboard on the Web, saving you time by allowing you to access your favorite tools and sites in one destination. What's particularly interesting is the myAOL Mgnet which is an image driven recommendation service that serves up related content based on your profile (i.e. likes and dislikes). When you use Mgnet to discover content from around the web, it learns about your interests and preferences. By searching, selecting and rating articles, it just gets better over time.

If you have a site that utillizes feeds or a blog, then you can add the myAOL button to your site in three very easy steps. The button allows visitors to your site to add your content to their myAOL page.

"Ficlets" you ask?A ficlet is a short story that enables you to collaborate with the world. Once you’ve written and shared your ficlet, any other user can pick up the narrative thread by adding a prequel or sequel.
