Oh I see now...Error Code 12006 during Signup Process via Bluestring.com...that does provide us with a bit more Discover Information as requested. I encountered an error code 12001 which I posted information about my experience earlier but now I can't seem to locate that thread in this forum.
Anyway's...Error Code 12006 during signup is not a issue that just affects you...that's my guess...and as I said I too encountered an error condition at that registration path that xxxlucas suggested you use. We want to solve this poor experience for you and any consumer that encounters it.
You are on the right track, it looks like a SN database issue of some sort. Maybe a legacy SN issue during the Xdrive signup process or maybe your SN is from outside of NAM. Signup was limited at one time to NAM consumers only.
Error Code 12001 or 12006 is issued from the AOL authentication system not the Xdrive servers. So obviously what's needed is to get the definition of those error codes to move forward.

He identified the problem as a database problem.
He said he contacted the people who are responsible for it.
All that was months ago.
Few weeks ago he wrote here (Some threads got deleted for some reason) that the problem is solved and I should try to create an account.
He told me to try at Bluestring.
I did, all I got is error 12006.
What should we do from here?

You should talk to XXXClaus.
My username is both AIM/AOL or something like that which makes it impossible for to use it in order to create an Xdrive account.
I know the procedure, yet it doesn't work for me.
All I get is a screen which states that Xdrive is sorry that currently I can't register my username.
Doing the procedure at "Bluestring" gives me error 12006.
Is that help?
I think it's something in the usernames database.

If you have an AIM or AOL Screen Name you should be able to signup for an Xdrive account by clicking here. This registration path allows you to choose three options to signup.
I know that you've stated you've been trying to signup for almost one year for an Xdrive account and you provided your screen name (RoyiAvital), so if this fails to allow you to signup for an Xdrive account what's needed in order to support you and provide a solution will be more Discovery Information from you like an error message or some indication of what kind of experience you encountered during the signup process. Things like, where you started the signup process from, what happened and at what point, screen shots, etc.
AOL will never ask you for your password and only the screen name holder will be able to signup for other AOL services with a valid screen name and password combination, so we can't signup for you.
Working together we'll be able to move to the next step in getting you signed up for an Xdrive account after you've gathered and provided the Discovery Information based on the experience you encounter.

XDrive Troubles
I have been back-and-forth with XDrive folks for the past week about trying to set an account. Their responses are unhelpful at best. The latest respose I received said that if I can create an account "it is simply best to try again later." (actual quote, that is the customer support advice!!)
I had explained to them that
I tried to create an account from existing screen name
I tried to create an account by making a new screen name via Xdrive
I tried creating an account on a PC and a Mac
I tried creating an account in IE7, Firefox and Opera.
Nothing works. Each time I get this message: "We look forward to welcoming you as a future member of Xdrive, but are unable to complete your order at this time. We apologize for the inconvenience. Please visit us again at www.xdrive.com to complete your order at a later time. Thank you"
This has been going for awhile. Is there no recourse?
