Screen Name Display Format for My Bot

When I sign on with my AIM bot, the screen name of the bot appears to other users in all lowercase, with no spaces. How can I tweak the display formatting of the screen name?

For example, say my bot's name is "fred", but I want it to appear as "Fr Ed". How do I do that, from an API standpoint?

I'm guessing this is some preference I can set or that there is some way to do this through the provided APIs, but I haven't quite been able to find anything yet.
